Privacy

StupidBooks is in early development. This page describes what the app actually stores today in plain terms; it will be replaced by a full, legally reviewed policy before public launch.

What we store today

  • Account

Your email address, for signing in (magic link or password) via Supabase Auth, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

  • Profile

Whatever you choose to add: username, display name, avatar, and bio. None of it is required beyond a username.

  • Club activity

Clubs you create or join, books you add to a shared list, invites you send, friend requests, and any notes you write.

  • Page speed

How quickly pages load, measured by Vercel Speed Insights: the route, your browser, device type and country, and timing numbers. It sets no cookies, records no IP address, and cannot follow you from one page to the next.

  • Errors

When something breaks, the error and where it happened go to Sentry so we find out. We have turned off the options that would send your personal details or the contents of your requests.

There is no advertising, no profiling, and nothing that follows you around. The two third parties above — Vercel and Sentry — see anonymous measurements only. Everything else lives in our Supabase project and is not sold or shared.
